Terms of Use

1. Description of Service

Dup is a macOS application for identifying and managing duplicate files. The app scans folders using advanced hashing algorithms to detect duplicates and enable storage recovery.

2. Dup Pro Subscription

Premium features include unlimited cleanup beyond the free allowance, Deep Scan, Smart Select, and Duplicate Monitor. Free features encompass unlimited scanning, result viewing, side-by-side comparison, the cloud folders you choose, and cleanup up to the free allowance, without subscription.

3. Subscription Pricing and Billing

• Cost: $29.99 annually (USD or local equivalent), or $39.99 one-time (Lifetime license, no renewal)
• Trial: 7-day free trial with no charges during this period
• Renewal: annual subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. A subscription bought on this site renews through RevenueCat Web Billing; one bought through the Mac App Store renews through your Apple Account and must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the billing date.
• Payment Processing: purchases made on this site are handled by RevenueCat Web Billing; purchases made through the Mac App Store are handled by Apple. Devpon does not collect or store payment data in either case.

4. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

How you cancel depends on where you bought. If you bought on this site, open Dup and choose Manage Subscription: it opens the billing portal for the address you paid with, and if no portal is available it starts an email to support instead. If you bought through the Mac App Store, use System Settings > Apple ID > Media & Purchases > Manage Subscriptions > Dup Pro. Pro access continues through the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

5. Free Trial

The free trial is available to new subscribers only. If you cancel during the trial period, no charges will apply. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically activate.

6. Restoring Purchases

How you get Pro back depends on where you bought. A purchase made on this site is tied to the email address you paid with: enter that address in Dup and activate with the code we email you. A purchase made through the Mac App Store is tied to your Apple ID: use the "Restore Purchases" option in the app.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Delete files without proper authorization
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Redistribute the application or any part of it
• Use the application in any way that could damage or impair the service

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The application is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. You assume all risk associated with using the application. Deleting files is a permanent action and Devpon accepts no responsibility for data loss.

9. Limitation of Liability

Devpon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, or loss of profits, arising from the use of or inability to use the application.

10. Apple's Standard EULA

Use of Dup is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. In the event of any conflict between these terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's terms shall take precedence.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through in-app or website notifications. Your continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
